Richardson’s layup lifts Heat over Jazz

Josh Richardson scored a layup with just about five seconds remaining in the game to give the Miami Heat a thrilling 103-102 victory over the Utah Jazz.

In another game on Sunday night, Los Angeles Lakers ended their nine-game losing streak with a 132-113 win over the Atlanta Hawks, with Brandon Ingram leading the scoring for the Lakers with 20 points.

Australia win final Test by an innings and 123 runs

Australia restricted England to 180 in the final innings of the Ashes series to romp home to a comfortable innings and 123-run victory in the fifth and final Ashes Test. With this win, Australia win the series 4-0 with only the fourth Test ending as a draw.

All four of the leading Australian bowlers – Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon – finished with 20 or more wickets in the series.

Tennis

Nadal, Djokovic to play at Kooyang

The flexibility offered in the way the Kooyaang Classic is held allows for Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic to play in the tournament.

While Nadal will play Richard Gasquet on Tuesday in a practice match, Djokovic will face Dominic Thiem on Wednesday in another practice encounter.
