Wipro was the worst performer among Sensex stocks during the morning session on Thursday, a day after the software major reported disappointing numbers for the quarter ended March 31.

On Wednesday, India's third-largest software services exporter reported a 20.5% fall in the fourth quarter net profit at ₹1,800 crore when compared to the corresponding quarter in the previous fiscal. The fall was primarily due to provisions it made for two insolvent customers.
Wipro’s revenue also slid 1.5% to ₹13,768 crore in the three months ended March 31. The company forecast revenue from the IT services business in the current quarter to be in the range of $2,015 million to $2,065 million, Bengaluru-based Wipro said in a statement on Wednesday.
