Uninor’s Chief Financial Officer Vivek Anand has resigned, about a year after joining the company.

Mr. Anand had joined Uninor in May 2014 after its then CFO Prasoon Sinha was elevated to handle Group Finance function at headquarters in Oslo.

“Uninor’s Chief Financial Officer Vivek Anand has decided to pursue his future aspirations outside of our company... Vivek has been instrumental in streamlining the finance deliveries for Uninor,” the company said in response to an e-mail query.

Before joining Uninor, Mr. Anand was Chief Finance Officer at Unilever Bangladesh.

Last week, Norwegian telecom company Telenor’s Indian arm Uninor had posted an operating loss of about Rs 127 crore in the first quarter ended March 31, 2015.

The company had posted a profit of about Rs 1,561 crore a year ago due to refund of licence fee to the tune of Rs 1,660 rore from the Indian government.
