The Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Infosys, Kris Gopalakrishnan, said here on Tuesday that the company expected to recruit 45,000 employees by the end of this fiscal as part of its expansion plans and also to address the concerns of its clients in a more efficient manner.
He was interacting with presspersons after announcing the first quarter results of the company at the Narayana Murthy Centre of Excellence campus at Hebbal here. Against the target of 6,000 employees in the first quarter, gross addition had been 9,922 employees and it was expected to cross the 12,000-mark by the end of the second quarter, Mr. Gopalakrishnan said.
S. D. Shibulal, Chief Operating Officer and Director of Infosys, said the tie-ups with global partners enabled the company to enhance its business prospects.
