The Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court stayed “any coercive action for one week “against the chairman of the Videocon group Venugopal Dhoot and his son and the Managing Director of the Company Aniruddha Dhoot, in a case involving non-payments of Transportation dues of Videocon employees.

A division bench of Justice Bhushan Gavai and Justice M.N.Gilani ordered on Thursday that “until further orders no coercive steps should be taken against Mr.Dhoot and his son”. The copy of the order was made available today.

Last week, a Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) court of Nagpur had issued a bailable warrant against Mr.Dhoot and his son for failing to appear before the court despite repeated summons.

The case involves non-payment of dues to the Hansa Travels Company. The Hansa Travels company owned by Mr.Dilip Chhajed , was deployed for the transportation of some Videocon employees but its dues were allegedly not cleared .

Mr.Dilip Chhajad had then lodged a complaint in Sadar police station here alleging non-payment of Rs.20 lakh against Videocon.

Advocate Sangram Shirpurkar and Advocate Ashish Fule appeared for the applicants and the prosecution was represented by Advocate Pradeep Kothari.
