Reliance joins hands with Russian co

Mukesh Ambani owned Reliance Industries (RIL) has joined hands with leading Russian petrochemical firm, SIBUR to form a joint venture in India to produce butyl rubber.

RIL, which has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Russian petrochemical major, said the butyl rubber would be produced at its integrated petrochemical site in Jamnagar, the company said in a statement here. SIBUR will provide proprietary technology for butyl rubber polymerisation and its finishing while RIL will supply monomers and its world class infrastructure and utilities.
