Enterprise software and service provider Ramco Systems has launched a pilot project with 2-3 banks to address their business intelligence (BI) needs.

The company is providing this service on HP’s Neoview enterprise data warehousing (EDW) platform.

EDW supports transforming data into valuable information to make better business decisions.

“We have already launched the project in one major bank in the private sector and two PSBs. It will take at least four months to roll-out the project in other banks in the country and SMEs as well,” Ramco COO Kamesh Ramamoorthy, told reporters here today.

This would help banks achieve higher efficiency and profitability and also help multiply customers, Mr. Ramamoorthy said.

The joint solution will help bankers take decisions on interest rate adjustments, region-wise loan deployments, overall business strategy and compliance.

The solution can also be integrated with any Core Banking Solution, he added.

Going forward, the company has plans to launch its products in the Middle-East and Europeans markets, he said.

India’s EDW market is expected to grow at 24.42 per cent at USD 354 million by 2011, Mr. Ramamoorthy said, adding that currently the company is targeting banks in India.
