Ramalinga Raju undergoes angioplasty

The former Chairman of Satyam Computers, B. Ramalinga Raju, underwent an angioplasty at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) here on Tuesday for implanting of two drug-eluting stents in his right coronary artery.

According to NIMS cardiologist Seshagiri Rao, the artery had two blocks which were cleaned and stents implanted. Following the procedure, he was moved to the Intensive Care Unit and his condition was stated to be stable. He would be kept under observation in the ICU for two days.

Mr. Raju was admitted to NIMS on September 7 from the Chanchalguda jail after he complained of chest pain.
