Myntra.com bets big on India

Myntra.com, online retailer of fashion and lifestyle products with over 200 brands under its banner, bets big on India emerging as a major e-commerce industry with the customer base growing from the present 10 million to about 50 million in the next four years.

“We hope to achieve a turnover of $1 billion in the next five years,” said Mukesh Bansal, CEO, here on Wednesday.

The five-year-old company started off as the personalisation portal registered faster growth after its expansion into fashion and lifestyle retailing in January, 2011. “The online stores are veering towards specialisation such as innerwear, cosmetics, health, and home décor,” he said.
