Mercedes-Benz India, a subsidiary of the German luxury vehicle manufacturer, announced that it would increase the price of its vehicles in India by 1-3 per cent. The price hike would be effective from January 14, a company statement said.
“Rising input cost, volatility of the rupee-euro, high interest rates and other associated factors have put significant pressure on us. Consequently, we are forced to share a part of this burden with our customers, and we will increase prices of our vehicles to the tune of 1-3 per cent effective January 14, 1013,” Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said in a statement.
For Mercedes-Benz, the price of the B-Class would be increased by 1 per cent, the C-Class and E-Class sedans by 1.5 per cent and the S-Class sedan by 3 per cent.
