Sensex opens marginally in the green

The benchmark BSE Sensex gained over 85 points in early trade on Saturday after two sessions of losses on emergence of buying by funds and retail investors in select stocks.

Besides, a firming trend in other Asian markets buoyed the trading sentiments here.

The 30-share index, which had retreated from record highs by falling 145.03 points in the past two sessions, recovered by 85.68 points, or 0.30 per cent, to 28,118.
