The Reserve Bank of India on Thursday fixed the reference rate of Rupee for the U.S. dollar at 54.6305 and the euro at 71.3235 as against $54.9625 and 71.9235 a euro as on Wednesday.
In a press release issued by RBI, the exchange rates for the pound and yen against Rupee were quoted at 87.5017 a pound and 61.99 per 100 yen, based on reference rates for the U.S. dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon.
The reference rate is based on the noon rates of select banks here and the SDR-rupee rate would be based on this rate, the release added.
