The Government’s move that not to hike petroleum products prices disappointed markets as scrips of oil & gas sector lost the most on Wednesday while the rupee gained against eh US dollar.

The rupee closed at 62.44 a dollar compared to its previous close of 62.75 on Tuesday. While remaining range-bound, the rupee touched a low of 62.88 and a high of 62.31.
