Jet hikes excess baggage rate to Rs. 300 a kg

The new rates will be levied from March 21

Jet Airways and JetKonnect have revised the excess baggage flat rate to Rs.300 a kg (inclusive of service tax) from Rs.250 a kg on domestic routes for baggage over and above the free baggage allowance of 15 kg for economy class and 30 kg for business class passengers.

The new rates will be levied from March 21, the airline informed travel agents. With this above revision under the weight system, the excess baggage rate will be increased by $5 for international journeys connecting to/from a Jet Airways and JetKonnect domestic sector,” the airline said.
