Japanese auto major Honda on Tuesday launched the upgraded version of its luxury sedan Civic and announced plans to export engine components from its Indian subsidiary to meet the growing demand of small cars in Japan.

The new Honda Civic, with improved interiors and upgraded exteriors, comes in three variants, and is priced between Rs. 11.80 lakh and Rs. 13.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The refurbished sedan comes with 1.8 litre i-VTEC petrol engine, delivering powerful performance and superior fuel economy (15.5 km a litre under test conditions). It is E10 compatible and has Euro IV emission levels. Honda Siel Cars India President and CEO Masahiro Takedagawa said: “The new Civic is a segment-defining product both in terms of looks and performance”.
