Fiat Group Automobiles India, on Wednesday, said it was on track for its roadmap to launch nine models by 2016.
The company, on Wednesday, unveiled a multi-purpose vehicle Avventura, hatchback Abarth 500, and new version of its sedan Linea.
“The introduction of the new products in the Indian market is in line with our long strategy. We are no longer a two product company,” Nagesh Basavanhalli, President and Managing Director of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (Indian Operations) told The Hindu. Besides the three products, the company will be launching the new Punto in the market this year.
Asked on the timeline of the launch, Mr. Basavanhalli said, “The first one will come as early as four weeks. We will be going forward aggressively.”
Fiat is also looking at expanding its sales network in the country.
