Federal Bank profit jumps

Federal Bank has recorded a net profit of Rs. 202 crore in the three months ended December 31, 2011 against Rs. 143.10 crore in the three months ended December 31, 2010, a growth of 41 per cent.

Total income during the third quarter grew 40.33 per cent to Rs. 1,604 crore from Rs. 1,143.57 crore in the same quarter in the previous year.

The total deposits grew by 26.63 per cent from 36,913.53 crore to Rs. 46,742.46 crore and advances to Rs. 33,206 crore from Rs. 28,240 crore The net NPA is 243.64 crore
