UST Global, a California-based provider of IT (information technology) services and solutions with significant presence in India, has inked an exclusive partnership pact with Centro Fox, headed by former President of Mexico Vicente Fox.

Centro Fox, the state-of-the-art presidential library and learning centre dedicated to leadership development throughout Mexico and Latin America, is a non-profit organisation.

The partnership will result in the expansion of UST Global’s innovative IT services and solutions to support the Latin American operations of global enterprises, as well as local organisations based within the region.

“UST Global is partnering Centro Fox in order to help accomplish nothing less than the transformation of my country into a world-class technology economy,” said Vicente Fox in a release. “Together, we will establish Mexico at the forefront of the information technology revolution in the region,’’ a release quoted him as further saying.

Under the agreement, UST Global will make a significant undisclosed investment in terms of creating an infrastructure of new development centres. The company claims that it has already begun providing technical training for thousands in the Mexican workforce.

The combined presence of UST Global and Centro Fox will offer reduced operational costs to clients through information technology services and solutions. These services and solutions will also add value through innovation, with a particular focus on the retail, banking, telecommunications and oil and gas sectors. “This is a truly historic agreement, and we, at UST Global, are excited to be a part of it,” said Sajan Pillai, CEO of UST Global, in a release. Mr. Pillai has, in the meanwhile, accepted an invitation to join the board of directors of Centro Fox.
