Tata Consultancy Services has been chosen by Singapore’s People’s Association, a statutory board under the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, to provide annual Application Management Services (AMS) for two years.

Under the agreement, TCS will develop and maintain business and citizen centric applications including mission critical applications of People’s Association. This involves consolidating its multiple vendor environments allowing reduced maintenance costs and simplified system administration. This will enable higher process efficiency and staff productivity across the organisation.

In a release issued here on Wednesday, Girija Pande, Executive Vice President and Head, TCS Asia Pacific has stated that “expertise in AMS, combined with TCS’ ability to deliver certainty of results will provide sustained value to People’s Association. TCS has instilled strict quality control procedures and continue to drive more value for the Singaporean clients through increased service quality.”

The government/public sector is one of the focus areas for TCS in Asia Pacific. TCS had so far partnered Singapore’s flag carrier SIA, Temasek Holdings, GIC and DBS Bank. The software major has recently implemented TCS Bancs Corporate Actions business application for the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC) which has successfully gone live.
