Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is looking at hiring 8,300 trainees and around 3,000 laterals or experienced persons in the fourth quarter of this fiscal, a senior company official said.

''We have already employed 8,703 trainees in the third quarter and expect to add 8,300 more trainees in the fourth quarter. We have also hired 3,000 laterals in the third quarter and given the growth we may continue to hire in the fourth quarter as well,'' TCS' Vice-President and Head, Global Human Resources, Ajoyendra Mukherjee, told reporters here on Monday. The Tata group company had also given a 150 per cent increase in variables in the current quarter. The company planned to undertake a wage revision in April, Mr. Mukherjee said.
