Tata Motors gets largest single order from SVL

Tata Motors has received its largest order ever of medium and heavy commercial vehicles (M&HCV) from a single fleet owner. The order from Siddhivinayak Logistics (SVL) is to supply 1,111 M&HCV trucks, to be delivered during the year.

Based in Surat, SVL is one of the largest fleet owners, owning a fleet of over 2,000 commercial vehicles and operating across segments like steel, cement, tractors, chemicals and machinery. It is a pioneer in new segments like commercial vehicle chassis carriers.

SVL plans to start transporting farm fresh fruits and vegetables through refrigerated containers on the Tata Prima.

Tata Motors has a 70 per cent share in the M&HCV trucks market .
