Suzlon to sell stake in Belgian firm

Largest wind turbine-maker Suzlon Energy on Monday announced its decision to sell 26 per cent of its stake in Belgian company Hansen Transmission to German firm ZF Friedrichshafen for $187 million (around Rs.840 crore).

Suzlon holds a 26 per cent stake in Hansen Transmission through its Netherlands-based subsidiary AE-Rotor Holding, the company said in a statement issued here.

In the offer document, the directors of Hansen have announced that they consider the terms of the offer to be fair and reasonable and have unanimously recommended that the shareholders of Hansen accept the offer.
