Sundaram Finance Q2 net rises 34 %

Sundaram Finance has registered a higher net profit of Rs. 90.73 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2011 against Rs. 67.53 crore in the corresponding period in the previous year, a rise of 34.35 per cent.

Income from operations has increased to Rs. 400.99 crore from Rs. 330.85 crore.

Disubrsements were higher by 20 per cent at Rs. 2,273 crore against Rs. 1,898 crore.

For the half-year ended September 30, 2011, the net profit has increased to Rs. 166.10 crore from Rs. 126.34 crore. Income from operations were higher at Rs. 790.07 crore against Rs. 643.33 crore. Disbursements during the six month period were Rs. 4,119 crore against Rs. 3,649 crore.

In the 12 months ended March 31, 2011, the company has achieved a net profit of Rs. 295.23 crore on an income of Rs. 1,370.78 crore.
