Shanthi Gears has reported a decline of 12.2 per cent in its total income from operations at Rs. 50.72 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012, against Rs. 57.71 crore in the year-ago period.
The net profit dropped by 14.4 per cent to Rs. 8.15 crore from Rs. 9.51 crore. For the year ended March 31, 2012, total income was higher by 7 per cent at Rs. 177.60 crore against Rs. 164.67 crore. The net profit stood at Rs. 28.13 crore against Rs. 27.86 crore. The company has announced a dividend of Re. 1 per share of face of Re.1 each.
TAKE Solutions, a player in the supply chain management and life sciences domains, has reported a total income of Rs. 6.29 crore (standalone) in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012 against Rs. 11.84 crore in the year-ago period in the previous year. There was a loss of Rs. 2.87 crore against a profit of Rs. 5.38 crore.
For the year ended March 31, 2012, the turnover was Rs. 38.41 crore against Rs. 45.25 crore while the net profit stood at Rs. 35.07 crore (Rs. 23.37 crore). The net profit included other income of Rs. 38.21 crore (Rs.18.65 crore).
On a consolidated basis, the turnover was Rs. 703.66 crore in the year ended March 31, 2012, against Rs. 500.30 crore, while the net profit was Rs. 94.16 crore (Rs.73.55 crore). The company announced a dividend of Re. 1 per share of Re. 1 each.
Balmer Lawrie & Company has recommended a dividend of Rs. 28 per share for the year ended March 31, 2012.
