Reliance ADA group firm Reliance MediaWorks on Wednesday said it has tied up with Japan’s largest lab and post-production company Imagica Corp to provide film restoration, image processing and other related services in the Japanese market.
The two companies have signed an MoU under which they will provide film restoration, image processing and enhancement and HD (high definition) conversion services to Japanese broadcasters and studios.
“By combining Imagica’s local leadership, know-how and expertise with our experience and versatile technology we are geared to provide next generation services to the Japanese film makers and broadcasters,” Reliance MediaWorks CEO Anil Arjun said in a statement.
Imagica Director, Managing Executive Officer Hiroyuki Tatsumi said the needs of Japanese marketplace is growing for film restoration of aged and deteriorated pictures for digital broadcasting.
“Imagica provides enhanced quality services to fill this demand and we are pleased to have found a partner in Reliance MediaWorks who shares our commitment for excellence and has time-proven hardware, software and custom R&D,” Mr. Tatsumi added.
As per the agreement, Imagica will work closely with Reliance MediaWork’s Los Angeles-based subsidiary Lowry Digital, one of Hollywood’s leading film restoration firms.
Imagica Corp offers a comprehensive range of services such as film processing and printing, inter-media transfer, editing and sound services, DVD authoring and duplication among others.
