Rahul Mammen Mappillai, vice-president, corporate planning and development, has been inducted into the board of MRF. He has taken the position of whole-time director.

Mr. Rahul Mammen is the eldest son of MRF chairman, K.M. Mammen and the grandson of MRF founder, the late K.M. Mammen Mappillai.

Mr. Rahul Mammen has put in more than seven years of service in the company and has varied experience in all major departments such as planning, production, finance and project execution. The corporate planning department headed by Mr. Rahul Mammen has the significant role of formulating the long-term business plan of the company and other new initiatives such as balance scorecard and performance management systems. He is at present overseeing the finance and project functions. He was instrumental in completing the Ankenpally project at Medak district, Andhra Pradesh, in a record time of 12 months. He is also overseeing the automation and process upgradation for all new projects of MRF, says a company release.
