Premier to open exclusive outlets

Premier, a leading cookware and consumer durable business house of the Sivanesan group, is planning to set up 60 exclusive brand stores under the name ‘Premier kitchen craft'.

Addressing presspersons here on Saturday last, S. Sivanesan, Managing Director, said these stores, to be established as a franchise model, would contribute more than Rs. 75 crore to the turnover taking the total to Rs. 300 crore from Rs. 150 crore at present. These stores would also put for sale products which were presently not available in the general trade.

450 product lines

Premier has 450 product lines of which pressure cookers contribute maximum to the turnover of the company. The company had put up nine fully-equipped product-specific manufacturing facilities in Gummudipoondi near Chennai.

Besides meeting domestic demand, the products were exported to 23 countries, Mr. Sivanesan said.

The company is working out marketing arrangements with Future Group and Croma (a Tata enterprise) to sell its products. It has already presence in metro stores.
