DS Group, a diversified conglomerate in the FMCG space, on Wednesday, announced the launch of its powdered milk drink ‘Yomil’. The company, which sells its consumer goods under the brand name Catch and Pass, had launched ‘Piyoz’ brand in June this year aimed at expanding its powdered beverage portfolio with the nation-wide launch of Yomil. “For this year, we have committed about Rs.60-65 crore for the new brand. The funds would be utilised on various activities, including machinery and marketing initiatives,” DS Group Confectionery and Powdered Concentrate Head, Atanu Gangoly, told reporters here at the launch.

Mr. Gangoly said Yomil would be available in four flavours. The product just requires addition of water in the concentrate to make a shake. The company plans to sell the new brand through a channel of eight lakh outlets. Asked about revenues the company is targeting from the new product, he said the company was looking at an average of Rs.70-80 crore in the first year.
