Pfizer Q3 profit at Rs.48 crore

Pfizer reported a net profit of Rs.48.28 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2011, against Rs.43.58 crore in the year-ago period.

As the company has changed its accounting year with effect from December 1, 2009, the third quarter results of the company are not comparable with those of the third quarter of the previous fiscal, Pfizer said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Net sales of the company stood at Rs.251.88 crore against Rs.235.84.

For the nine months ended December 31, 2011, the company posted a net profit of Rs.136.51 crore against Rs.120.75 crore for the third quarter ended November 30, 2010.

Divi's Labs

Divi's Laboratories said its net profit rose by 21 per cent to Rs.122.55 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2011, from Rs.101.57 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2010. Total income of the company stood at Rs.417.42 crore against Rs.314.97 crore, Divi's Laboratories said in a filing to the BSE.

The company also said P. Gundu Rao, Director of the company, had resigned from its board.
