Oracle to expand India presence

The U.S.-based leading enterprise software company Oracle is aiming at the fast-growing telecom and services sector, besides government departments, to expand its presence and operations in India. “Huge demand is going to come from these two sectors, while there are other sectors too on which we are focusing. Similarly, we are betting big on the government space with defence being one of the prime areas of focus in India,” Oracle India Managing Director Krishan Dhawan told The Hindu . He also pointed out that big business opportunities also lay with other government departments like police and income tax, areas such as processing of smart cards and visas.
