Oil India Q3 net rises

Oil India has reported a higher net profit of Rs. 907.98 crore for the quarter ended December, 31, 2010, against Rs. 717.28 crore in the corresponding period in the previous year.

Total revenue was higher at Rs. 2,750.75 crore against Rs. 2,264.13 crore.

Revenue from crude oil is higher at Rs. 2,047.49 crore (Rs. 1,843.57 crore) and from natural gas Rs. 318.05 crore (Rs. 163.97 crore).

The profit from operations before other income, interest and exceptional items, has increased to Rs. 1,086.69 crore from Rs. 930..63 crore.
