October 19, 2011 06:39 pm | Updated August 02, 2016 10:14 am IST - NEW DELHI:

Anil Ambani-owned Reliance Power on Wednesday refuted reports that an inquiry by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) was taking place pertaining to the coal blocks allotted for the company 4,000 MW Sasan ultra mega power project (UMPP) in Madhya Pradesh.

An official spokesman claimed on Wednesday that the Power Ministry had confirmed that there was no CAG report on the Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM) decision regarding use of incremental coal from coal blocks allotted to Reliance Power's UMPP. The Power Ministry had further clarified that only certain queries have been raised, which were being examined and will be answered by them.
