FMCG firm Nestle India on Monday posted 2.34 per cent rise in its net profit to Rs 267.31 crore for the third quarter ended September 30, 2012.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 261.18 crore during the corresponding period of previous year, Nestle India said in a filing to the BSE.
Net sales of the company rose to Rs 2,115.59 crore for the second quarter, as against Rs 1,963.10 crore during the same period of 2011.
Net domestic sales have increased by 7.6 per cent mainly on account of net realisations and product mix, the company said.
“Domestic sales growth during the quarter has been adversely impacted by portfolio/channel optimisation and pricing for value in certain products,” it added.
Shares of Nestle on Monday closed at Rs 4,820 apiece on the BSE, down 0.93 per cent from its previous close.
