M&M unveils SUV Quanto

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), on Thursday, unveiled its latest offering, the compact sports utility vehicle (SUV), Quanto. The product has been designed and developed in-house, and is part of its successful Ingenio platform, the company said in a statement.

Four variants

Quanto will be sold nationally in four variants - C2, C4, C6 and C8, starting with the C2 at Rs.5.82 lakh (ex-showroom Thane) to the fully-loaded C8 priced at Rs.7.36 lakh (ex-showroom Thane). All the vehicles will have a 1.5-litre mCR100 diesel engine. Quanto has M&M’s micro hybrid technology which has further enhanced mileage, certified by ARAI at 17.2 kilometres per litre, the company said.

Quanto is the only sub-4-metre SUV in the country offering a 5+2 seating arrangement.

Six colours

In terms of features, it comes with digital drive assist system (DDAS), intellipark reverse assist, 2 DIN music system with CD, MP3 and USB. Safety features include dual air bags, ABS with EBD, an engine immobiliser, fog lamps and a high speed warning system. The vehicle will be available in six colours — Fiery Black, Mist Silver, Toreador Red, Java Brown, Diamond White and Rocky Beige.

In a statement, Pawan Goenka, President, Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors, M&M, said, “Quanto has been developed keeping in mind the evolving needs of our customers. I am confident that it will create a new category within the SUV segment while offering a unique value proposition to our customers.”
