McNally Bharat Engineering (MBE) is planning to mark a big presence across the globe, mandating PriceWaterhouse Coopers (PwC) to carry out a study aimed at restructuring the company, Managing Director Srinivash Singh said.

The company is also looking at a tie-up with Areva of France for tapping the engineering, procurement and construction contracts for nuclear power plants.

It has also received expressions of interest from KPMG, Accenture, McKinsey and Ernst and Young for studying capital and management restructuring.

Addressing a press conference, he said that with the four subsidiary companies it got through the acquisition of KHD Humboldt, Germany, McNally Bharat would start “activating the offices of KHD which had got into doldrums of late due to the divestment plans of the German company.”

New lines of businesses

“We will expand our business horizons to South America, the U.S., Australia, China, Mongolia, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines,” he said. Mr. Singh said new lines of businesses were also being planned including EPC contracts for cement, nuclear power plants and for the oil and gas sector, mainly refineries.
