Maruti Suzuki India will continue to roll out new models and improvised versions of the existing models to suit the customers' needs, said R. C. Bhargava, Chairman.
Mr. Bhargava replied in the negative when asked about the company's plans to launch a small car on the lines of Nano. “No way, not at all,” he said when asked about reports that the company planned to make a foray into the small car segment.
The comments assume significance in the light of Maruti Suzuki's reported plans to showcase two models of the 660-cc engine and the tiny ‘K' car in the Indian market. Mr. Bhargava was here on Saturday in connection with a seminar at the Indian School of Business.
In a brief chat with this correspondent, he said the company was focussing on new and improvised models as the firm could not continue the models unchanged. “Nobody will buy the products if it remains unchanged for long,” Mr. Bhargava said.
