Marriott enters Pink City

The international hotel group Marriott Hotels & Resorts has opened a 365-room property in the Pink City.

The Jaipur Marriott Hotel is the largest hotel in Rajasthan in terms of number of rooms and meeting space with 43,000 sq. ft. area including two ballrooms and 13 break-out and meeting rooms, the company said in a release here.

Opening the facility in Jaipur on Friday, Marriott International Inc Vice-President for India, the Maldives, Malaysia & Australia, Rajeev Menon, said, “With tremendous growth as a business hub during the past few years, Jaipur is set to become one of the most sought-after destinations for both leisure and business travellers in the country”.

The hotel will feature the Marriott signature Quan Spa, which is a 10,000 sq. ft. space for rejuvenation, including a well-equipped fitness centre, and a swimming pool.

In the 2010 fiscal, the Marriott Group reported sales from operations of nearly $12 billion.
