Mahindra to launch Duro DZ

It is a solid, and powerful scooter designed for Indian road conditions

Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd (MTWL), a part of the $14.4 billion Mahindra Group, has continued to build its presence in the two-wheeler segment. The company's cumulative scooter sales from April to December 2011 stood at 1.06 lakh units while sales in December 2011 were 6,231 units.

Cumulative sales for the company have crossed 3-lakh units, with Rodeo and Duro scooter brands having a franchise of more than one lakh consumers. At the Delhi Auto Expo, the company will unveil the new Mahindra Duro DZ, a fuel-efficient 125-cc scooter.

“We have undertaken some stock correction to make space for the introduction of the new Mahindra Duro DZ. We are excited about the Duro DZ. It is a solid and powerful scooter designed specifically for Indian road conditions. The Duro DZ has been reviewed by leading industry experts, some of whom have termed it as the best scooter on Indian roads. With an amazing range of superior features, and an attractive launch price, the new Duro DZ is sure to be an instant hit. We have also created an interesting new marketing campaign with actor Kareena Kapoor,” said Viren Popli, Senior Vice-President, Strategy and Market Development, Mahindra Two Wheelers.
