Mahindra Satyam registered a net profit of Rs.225 crore in the first quarter ended on June 30, 2011.
The company earned a revenue of Rs.1,434 crore, a 4.3 per cent growth over that of last quarter and the growth covered all verticals and geographies. The accumulated losses stand at Rs.2,200 crore. The company incurred a loss of Rs.327 crore in the last quarter of 2010-11.
Announcing the financial results, Chairman Vineet Nayyar said here on Tuesday that the company would wind up its American Depository Share (ADS) programme in 2012 in an orderly and controlled manner. The company's ADS shares are currently traded on the over-the-counter market in the U.S.
C. P. Gurnani, CEO, said the company's total headcount was 31,438 with a net addition of 2,172 for the quarter and attrition improved to 17 per cent from 22 per cent in quarter four of 2010-11.
