Lone independent director A. K. Ganguly quits

March 19, 2012 11:15 pm | Updated July 19, 2016 11:08 pm IST - MUMBAI:

Anil Kumar Ganguly, the only remaining independent director on the board of struggling air carrier Kingfisher Airlines, has quit the company, citing poor health condition.

“Mr. Ganguly has resigned from the board of directors of the company and his resignation has been accepted with effect from March 17,” Kingfisher Airlines said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

His resignation comes within a week of Vijay Amritraj resigning from the board of the beleaguered air carrier.

Now, the company will be left with just three board members, none of which is independent director.

Another board member, Diwan Arun Nanda, had quit late last year citing personal reasons.
