Kazutada Kobayashi is new Canon India CEO

Digital imaging firm Canon India on Monday announced the appointment of Kazutada Kobayashi as the new president and CEO of the company.

“Kobayashi will replace Kensaku Konishi, who now takes on his new role as the CEO of Canon Singapore, post his tenure as president and CEO at Canon India for five years,” Canon India said in a statement.

“India holds tremendous potential and is one of the fastest growing economies of the world. These are exciting times, not only for the brand, but also for the industry as a whole,” Mr. Kobayashi said.

Prior to taking up the role, he was president and CEO of Canon Hong Kong Co, where he was responsible for overseeing the company’s operations in Hong Kong, Taiwan, the Philippines, Macau and Mongolia.

He has also handled various operations of the company in Germany and the Netherlands.
