ITC posts Rs.1,389 cr profit

ITC ended the third quarter (December 31, 2010) with a 21.4 per cent growth in post-tax profit which touched Rs.1,389 crore.

Driven by robust performance by non-cigarette FMCG businesses, segment revenues were up by 24 per cent led by the branded packaged foods business. Stationery business recorded a robust sales growth of 50 per cent.

The hotels segment has recovered from its doldrums registering a 16 per cent growth in revenues. Net turnover grew by 19 per cent during the period under review and touched Rs.5,453 crore.
