Infotech to provide GIS solution to US utility

A city-based firm has been selected to provide an integrated GIS solution to the transmission business of a leading power utility in the United States.

Infotech Enterprises Ltd, a leading engineering solutions company, has signed a contract with Southern California Edison (SCE), a leading investor-owned utility for deploying an integrated solution to the latter's transmission business processes.

As part of the contract, Infotech would consolidate and convert SCE's multiple GIS and paper source documents onto a commercial off the shelf land base besides developing other interfaces to support its transmission business unit.
