Hyundai strike called off

After talks between the Hyndai Motors India Limited (HMIL) and trade unions in the presence of Labour Minister T.M. Anbarasan on Wednesday, the strike at Hyundai has been called off.

MoU signed

As per the MoU signed between HMIL and the unrecognised union, representing workers who were on strike, HMIL has agreed to review the 35 cases of dismissed employees on humanitarian grounds, said a release from Rajiv Mitra, Head, Corporate Communications, HMIL.

Review committee

The review would be conducted by a committee comprising HMIL officials, government officials and representatives of the workers. HMIL has also considered confirming the 20 dismissed employees who were reinstated, the release said
