Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC) Chairman-cum-Managing Director G. K. Pillay will take additional charge as Chairman of HMT Machine Tools Limited. A formal order was received from the Union Heavy Industries Department, HEC Senior Deputy General Manager S. Subramaniam said here on Wednesday.
His appointment comes in the wake of the Centre considering a revival package for the ailing HMT Machine Tools for a turnaround.
Mr. Pillai had joined HEC in 2007 and has pulled the ailing company out of the woods.
