HCL quarterly net profit rises 12 per cent

HCL Technologies on Wednesday reported an increase of 12 per cent in the net profit at Rs.285.97 crore for the quarter ended December 2010 as compared to Rs.255.44 crore for the same period last fiscal.

The total income of the company increased to Rs.1,687.59 crore as against Rs.1259.22 crore during the quarter under revenue, the company said in a statement.

“The dynamic demand environment necessitates a sharp focus on innovation and tangible value generation for customers. We continued to register impressive win ratios and superior customer acquisitions with 50-plus transformational deals signed during the year,” said Vineet Nayar, chairman and chief operating officer of HCL Technologies.

The company declared an interim dividend of Rs.2 per equity share.
