IT major Mahindra Satyam on Wednesday said it has appointed Hari Narayanan as head of new business development in Japan.

“Mr. Hari would be responsible to lead a team and drive business development across emerging technologies growing the company’s presence in the automotive, manufacturing, banking and financial services industries,” Mahindra Satyam (earlier known as Satyam Computer Services) said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

“In keeping with our aggressive plans for the Asia Pacific region, Mahindra Satyam is strengthening business by growing sales and accelerating momentum thus achieving a dominant presence in this region,” Mahindra Satyam Head of Asia Pacific (based out of Singapore) Rohit Gandhi said.

Earlier, he was the Country Manager of SRM Technologies, Japan, the filing added.

Mr. Hari’s appointment follows a recent announcement of Bobby Gupta to the position of Head-Sales and New Development in Australia and New Zealand, it said.
