General Motors India sales up 65 pc in November

Car maker General Motors India today reported a 65.27 per cent increase in sales in November at 7,118 units, its highest ever sales recorded in the month since start of its operations in the country 13 years ago.

The company had sold 4,307 units in the same month last year, General Motors India said in a statement.

“We are pleased to see such robust growth for all our car lines and we believe these world class products will further propel the Chevrolet brand in the market,” GM India vice-president P Balendran said.

He said the company has received very good response to its recently launched luxury sedan Chevrolet Cruze. It sold 518 units of the car during the month.

Besides, during the month the company also sold 4,202 units of the Chevrolet Spark, 1,264 units of Chevrolet Tavera, 524 units of Aveo U-Va, 412 units of Aveo, 114 units of Chevrolet Optra and 84 units of the Chevrolet Captiva.
