Fortis Healthcare appoints Aditya Vij as CEO

Fortis Healthcare (India) today said it has appointed former head of General Motors India, Aditya Vij as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company with effect from July 5.

Prior to this, Vij was working with Punj Lloyd where he held the position of Group President -Defence, Fortis Healthcare (India) said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

“We believe that Aditya brings with him a compendium of stellar values and unique capabilities to strengthen Fortis’s footprint to the benefit of our many stakeholders, including customers, employees, investors, government associates and business partners,” Fortis Healthcare (India) Managing Director Shivinder Mohan Singh said.

Prior to working with Punj Lloyd, Vij has worked with General Motors for 18 years across five countries in Europe and Asia, it added.

Shares of Fortis Healthcare (India) were today trading at Rs 163.20 on the BSE in late afternoon trade, up 1.21 per cent from its previous close.
