Embassy developing integrated township

The Bangalore-based Embassy Property Development Limited, through its associate company RGE Constructions and Development Pvt Ltd, is developing an integrated township, Embassy Residency, at Perumbakkam near Chennai.

The project, coming up on 25 acres, comprises 2,037 two-bedroom apartments, 556 three-bedroom apartments and 528 units for the economically weaker section. The first phase will have apartments ranging between 650 sq. ft. and 1,400 sq. ft.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, S. Vasudevan, President, Embassy Property Development, said the project had environmentally-friendly features such as atmospheric potable water, rain water harvesting, energy saving devices such as solar power water heaters and yard lighting. The company used clay hollow bricks used for non-load bearing partition walls. He said the company had developed an aggregate of 24.25 million sq. ft. of area in commercial, residential and retail segments of the real estate market.

Most projects are based out of Bangalore. The company has developed projects in Malaysia and Serbia. Ramesh Nair, Managing Director (Chennai and Hyderabad), Jones Lang LaSalle, said they were the exclusive marketing agents for the projects.
